''Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List'' is an 2015 American comedy drama romance film written by Amy Andelson and Emily Meyer, and directed by Kristin Hanggi. It is based on the book of the same name by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan. The film stars Victoria Justice, Pierson Fode, and Matthew Daddario. Ely is gay and Naomi has been dating Bruce 2 for a month, although she is hesitant to lose her virginity to him because of her secret love for Ely. Naomi and Ely have a No Kiss List; every guy on the list is forbidden to either of them. In the beginning of the movie, they add Gabriel, the doorman, to the list. Everything is going well until Ely starts disappearing when Naomi needs him. She has been having problems with helping her mother recover from her divorce. She doesnt accept that Ely is gay because she has always fantasized Ely falling in love with and marrying her. The hopelessness of this dream makes her lash out at Ely, but he brushes it off as sexual anxiety from her still being a virgin. One night, Naomi has a date with Bruce 2 and decides to bring Ely along. After a fun night, Naomi decides to go home. Ely wants to stay behind and pushes her to have sex with Bruce 2, which she hesitantly acquiesces. They awkwardly make out, in Bruce's dorm, until a friend accidentally opens the door. A few days later, Bruce 2 is waiting for Naomi in the hall because she forgot their meeting. Ely arrives and offers Bruce 2 a drink while waiting for Naomi. In Ely's bedroom, Bruce 2 discovers his X-men comics; an interest shared by them both. In a moment of passion, they kiss each other. The next day, Naomi and Ely goes shopping to look for their Sid and Nancy costumes for Halloween. Ely confesses the kiss. Naomi brushes it off, ignoring it. Getting home, Naomi discovers a mixtape in her mail from an admirer. While they get ready, Bruce 2 comes to visit Ely, confessing he really liked the kiss and wants to discover if there's more. But before they can get further, Naomi arrives and Ely hastens her out of the door and goes back because he "forgot" something. Bruce 2 is hiding in the closet. Ely wants Bruce 2 to wait for him. Bruce 2 agrees and gives him Orbit gum, to add to the alibi that he forgot something. Ely gets in the elevator and gives her gum. Naomi remembers that Bruce 2 only chews sugar free gum and Ely doesn't. She then finds out that Bruce 2 is hiding in the closet. This results in a messy breakup of the friendship which makes both of them extraordinarily upset. During their time apart, Naomi gets to realize that her dream of Ely falling for her and them becoming a couple eventually is just that - a dream. Naomi didn't even care that Bruce 2 didn't bother to break up with her or the fact that he is gay. She is mad because it was Ely. Ely realizes thanks to Bruce 2 that the situation they're in have parallels with Naomi's mother divorce and the fact that her dad left her mother for her mother's friend. In the meantime, Naomi becomes closer with her friend at college and discovers that the mixtape was from Gabriel. She wants to start something with him, but Gabriel wants to start slow. During lesson, Naomi talks with her friend and realizes she misses Ely. She finally accepts Ely's sexuality and wish to have her best friend of so many years in her life again, she reaches out to him and they do reconcile.
